Mansing Gurung is a licensed trekking guide with more than 14 years of experience in Nepal’s tourism and trekking industry. He started his tourism journey in 2012 as a porter and spent around six years gaining hands-on experience in the Himalayas before completing professional trekking guide training at NATHM in 2018 and obtaining his trekking guide licence.
He has also completed tourism-sector skill development training conducted in association with the Nepal Tourism Board. With years of experience on Nepal’s trekking trails, Mansing knows the routes, mountain conditions, high-altitude challenges, and major trekking passes very well.
Known for being humble, caring, patient, and responsible, he pays close attention to his guests' pace, health, acclimatization, and comfort, especially at high altitude. His experience facing difficult weather, steep terrain, long trekking days, and challenging high passes has taught him how to respond calmly when conditions change and make sensible decisions for the group.
Mansing combines formal training with real mountain experience to provide responsible guidance, careful support, and a safe and enjoyable trekking experience while sharing Nepal’s mountain culture and local way of life with his guests.
